Deliverable Services
that are Standard to our Practice
The Burge Company, of
Houston, Texas, calls these the “nine client deliverables”. A list
of nine items clients can expect to receive consistently, without fail.
1. An annual update of the clients Financial Road Map® is completed.
This update focuses on values, goals, and benchmarking
progress.
2. Annual update of an Implementation Action Plan. This plan summarizes the
financial plan into a simple chronological list of action items and monitors
the progress toward completing each item. Everything is summarized
into several concise repeatable progress reports for future review.
3. Every four months, a progress meeting is set for delivery of progress reports, which summarizes assets and
the progress made toward expressed goals and investment decisions plus other
goals related to achieving financial independence. A project Gantt
Report is used to track goals and their progress to completion.
4. Twice-annual discussions of “the big picture,” which cover the
financial situation and review the Implementation Plan.
5. Monthly, quarterly and annual income tax planning to minimize
taxes and forestall any surprises in April. This requires ongoing
communication with the client and their CPA concerning investment decisions,
distributions and the potential impact on taxes paid. In addition to client
progress meetings, when appropriate, additional meetings are held
with the client and their CPA together for updates on investment decisions
and progress concerning tax implications.
6. Bi-decade review of estate plan (once every five years).
Assistance securing a qualified estate attorney to assist in this process
who I feel meets the interest of my clients.
7. Ongoing attention to milestones/goals and game plan for the
accomplishment of the goals, annually updating plans when the comprehensive
financial plan is updated. This is a continual process and requires
constant attention to provide pro-active anticipation of client needs for
new and changing goals and objectives.
8. Assistance in
securing competent tax advice from a tax professional CPA for annual tax
returns.
9. As-needed assistance with cash and debt management.
In addition to enumerating these, The Burge Company has delineated
every detail and created a delivery plan to assure there are no gaps in each
service.
By knowing every client receives all nine of these deliverables puts The
Burge Company is in a prime position when presenting fees. We don’t have to
justify the figure; the work does that for us. New people come by word of
mouth, so referring clients validate fees by raving about the service they
are getting.
